Ranjit Scissorhands

We saved on a big boohoo session and sizable pocket change yesterday when Ranjit gave Yohan his second haircut of his lifetime.

Proceedings began with Ranjit-like precision and flair as two garbage bags were fashioned into a cape for Yo and a seat cover for his booster seat. Barney and Friends played on the laptop and Yohan was the perfect little candidate for our makeshift barbershop.

Kudos to first-time stylist Ranjit - the young man turned out curl-less and very handsome (although the writer of this post admits her views may be slightly biased).

Yo's 15 Month Stats

Height: 31 inches
Weight: 19lbs 9oz

He hasn't put on much weight since his 12 month appointment; the boy eats like a bird (except for sweet stuff, which he can never get enough of; most everything else is met with a resounding no and a vigorous shake of the head).

Yo prefers to feed himself nowadays, rather than be fed. Not much goes in, but large messes are nevertheless created. In this video he's just practicing with air.

Playful, Happy, and Messy

Yo's in a very fun stage now. He's very active, waddling around engaged in Important Business. He understands and responds to a lot of things, and it's cute to see him "take xyz to mama" when we ask him to. One of these days he can get started on the grocery list. He's also certainly got a mind of his own, and makes it known in no uncertain terms when he disagrees with his parents' instructions or is, say, done with dinner.
