Long overdue update on our Disney adventures. Our three day trip was an awesome, fun, exhausting experience. The pedometer that I wore recorded that we walked almost 8 miles a day (the kids were of course carted around in their strollers). Both the kids and the parents were more than happy to watch shows, the fireworks, meet some princesses and generally hang out in the "happiest place on earth," leaving the hair-raising rides for the more adventurous. The highlights included getting to celebrate Yo's birthday there, the mini roller coaster in Toon Town, the much-hyped Radiator Springs Racers ride that Ranjit and I took turns on, the incredible replica of the whole of Radiator Springs from Cars and the extravagant laser/ fountain/ music/ pyrotechnic shows. A side mention also to the 7/11 sandwiches that we survived on. Note for next time: make sure all children in your party are not afraid of people in costumes before you book expensive character dinners to celebrate birthdays.
