July 4th weekend
The holiday weekend was packed with BBQs, dinners, and a trip to the beach where Yo had his first real encounter with sand. He was a little hesitant to plunge in with gusto at first, but soon was up to his elbows in the stuff, making friends with the nieghboring family and getting into sand pits they had dug. We also learned the best way to clean sand-filled diapers - douse the boy (minus his diaper) under a tap, don't bother with wipes.

After 3 kids we have learned that baby powder is a great way to get the sand off no water/wipes required. I know that is sounds crazy but it works really well.
Thanks for the tip! I'll have to try it out the next time we're at the beach.
