Beating the heat

We've been having some rather hot weather the last few days. We turned the sprinklers on one evening and let him run around - he seemed to enjoy it :)

A New View

This weekend we finally turned Yo's carseat around, to face the front. He needed to reach the 20lbs mark before this could be done; reaching that milestone combined with the fact that he was throwing a big fuss every time he had to get into his car seat made us get this done this weekend. Hopefully the new and improved view will help keep the fussiness to a minimum.

The Proposal...

... is the name of the movie that Susan and I got to see this weekend while Ammama watched the young'un. This was just the second theatre movie for us since the boy was born - the first one was 'Australia', which we saw in Madras in Jan (again while Ammama was chief babysitter).

I think Ammama needs to visit more often.

The royal treatment

Ammama arrived last weekend to help with the imminent arrival of baby #2, and she's been a huge blessing even in this one week. Mr. Yo also now has a larger audience, and he's certainly playing to the crowd. The boy is happily lapping up all the pampering he's getting now.

Susan at 33 weeks

July 4th weekend

The holiday weekend was packed with BBQs, dinners, and a trip to the beach where Yo had his first real encounter with sand. He was a little hesitant to plunge in with gusto at first, but soon was up to his elbows in the stuff, making friends with the nieghboring family and getting into sand pits they had dug. We also learned the best way to clean sand-filled diapers - douse the boy (minus his diaper) under a tap, don't bother with wipes.

The Hat

Our resident 'Indian'a Jones / Charlie Chaplin recently re-purposed one of Susan's mixing bowls into a hat, and it has become his constant companion ever since.
