Waiting for dada

As I write this blog, Ranjit is on the first leg of his journey to join us after being apart for six weeks. He was given strict instructions to 1) Sleep so he can take over from mommy on arrival 2) Enjoy the flight as it's going to be one of the few without certain crying, burping, whining somebodies as travel companions.

The weeks before dada gets here have been eventful and has left us all with a, "Where did the time go?" feeling. Yohan has become so accustomed to receiving gifts from friends and relatives that rips open the wrapping paper saying "car" with undisguised expectation. We've been working on the being grateful bit and he manages a "thanku" every now and then.

It's been really fun to watch Mika and Yo interact - she squeals with delight whenever he is around and he loves having her pull his hair and kick him (why do I think these same gestures will later result in me playing referee?).

While Yohan went on his first ever auto ride with Ammama, Malaika accompanied mamma and her friends on her first girls' getaway to Mahabalipuram.
